Trends & Career Prospects

It is said that “Tourism is an INDUSTRY OF INDUSTRIES”, having surpassed the manufacturing industry during the last some years, both in revenues & profitability. This fast-growing Tourism industry has risen to be the SINGLE LARGEST REVENUE-EARNING INDUSTRY, not only in India, but also the World over , accounting for almost 14% of the World’s economic output (equivalent to roughly 10.40 % of global jobs accruing to the travel & tourism industry), and offering an estimated 348 million jobs worldwide.

As a matter of fact, almost 50% of India’s foreign exchange is accounted for by hotels & restaurants. It is also estimated that the total direct employment in the tourism sector in India is around 30 million jobs.

Not only this, but the large presence of international hospitality groups, has provided further impetus to this Industry, making it a much-favoured profession on account of excellent work environment and exceptional growth opportunities , incl. overseas job/career opportunities as well.
Consequently, as tourism grows and travelers increase, demand on infrastructure of all sorts has also been building up. In keeping with this upswing, whereas more hotels, resorts, clubs, restaurants, luxury cruise ships, airlines etc., have been coming up pretty fast, *equally important has been the necessity to “produce well-trained, motivated & experienced manpower, to serve the growing demands of this ever-expanding industry”, both in India & overseas as well.

CCHMS’s courses in Hospitality Operations & Management aim to meet the ever-growing Industry’s need for competent Hospitality human resources – truly professionally well-trained and industry-ready youngsters.
